I am Cori Jin
Cori Jin has a sacred relationship with her craft. With a tattoo machine as her instrument of choice she conducts a dance between the sweet and the sinister that flows and turns almost effortlessly to the whims of her imagination. Delicate yet, dark she marries both her angels and demons to create images that have the power to either provoke or enchant the eye of the beholder. Because who says our faults can’t be beautiful?
With her tattoo chair as a throne and each client a guest of honour Cori creates an experience when she’s chosen to bind ink to skin. Whether you are looking to officiate meaning or aesthetics, Cori believes that the experience of getting a tattoo is an intimate process for both parties. Getting to know her clients and making them feel at ease is just as important as cleaning equipment or getting the design just right.
Being miles away from her home in San Francisco, Cori has found a family in Toronto at Anbu Ink. Through the encouragement of her peers along with the guidance of her mentor and shop owner Kristian, Cori has learned the meaning of hard work, humility and the value of being a part team. It’s a space where clients come in as a canvas and leave as a work of art.
Currently, Cori Jin is finishing her Bachelor of Art at OCADU working with mediums such as paint, illustration and expanded animation.
